Dr Nikhil Sisodia

Nik Sisodia has been an implant mentor and trainer to dentists at all levels, from GDP to registered specialists, for many years. He lectures worldwide on implant and restorative dentistry. Nik is an associate clinical teacher at the University of Warwick.  He is respected as an opinion leader in implant dentistry in the UK and is a Module Leader for the Advanced Diploma in Dental Implantology at the Royal College of Surgeons, England.  
Nik is in private practice in London.  He is a past president of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantology.  He is a Member of the Association of Dental Implantology, Scientific Chairman of the British Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry and serves on the editorial review board of the International Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry.

Dr Martin Wanendeya

Martin Wanendeya is a tutor on the diploma in implant dentistry programme at the Royal College of Surgeons, England, having been awarded the diploma at advanced level.   He is an associate clinical teacher at the University of Warwick and has lectured nationwide on implant and restorative dentistry. 

Martin has been providing implant restorative training and surgical mentoring for many dentists over a number of years. He is a recognised and respected teacher in all aspects of clinical dentistry.  He is a member of the FGDP, the ADI and the BACD.

Ten Implant Restoration Course 2017 Friday, 24 February 2017 to Friday, 1 December 2017 | Five one-day sessions

This course is aimed at dentists who wish to expand the treatment options available in their own practice by learning to restore implants themselves, rather than referring patients elsewhere.  In addition to patient satisfaction, this provides significant financial benefits. 

Course Summary

The five modules take delegates right through from getting started with dental implant restoration to managing complex cases.  The content is taught using a mix of lectures, demonstrations and hands-on.

Educational outcome

On completion of the programme, delegates will have gained the knowledge and skills required to restore implants themselves.

Detailed Programme

Module 1:  Rationale Occlusion, Restoring and Multiple Posterior Units

  • Introduction and rationale for treatment
  • Introduction to implant restoration
  • Restoring single teeth (hands-on)/single tooth treatment planning (interactive)
  • Restoring multiple posterior teeth (with hands-on)
  • Occlusion part 1, use of diagnostic templates, use of face bows and multiple treatment planning/case presentation

Module 2 : Working in the Aesthetic zone. Abutment material selection. Photography, aesthetic treatment planning 

  • Part 1 Rationale for Anterior teeth, review of previous techniques
  • Aesthetic treatment planning,
  • Using Provisional teeth.
  • Restoring single Anterior teeth (hands-on)/single tooth treatment planning (interactive)
  • Dental Photography. Restoring multiple anterior teeth (with hands-on). Cement vs screw retention for Anterior Teeth.
  • Occlusion Part 2, CT scans, Understanding where Grafting may be needed and when immediate implants are possible. Review of diagnostic templates, Multiple treatment planning/case presentation

Module 3:  Digital Dentistry Day for dentists and technicians

  • Using CAD CAM and digital dentistry to restore implants
  • Introduction to CAD CAM. Digital Technology
  • Custom vs. stock abutments
  • Case 1 single back tooth with hands on
  • Material Selection
  • Case 2 Back and front tooth with hands on
  • Case 3 Zirconia Abutment
  • Steven Campbell- CAD CAM, intra Oral scanning, lab procedures
  • CAD/CAM in removable prosthesis design Atlantis Conus and hands on
  • CAD/CAM in removable prosthesis design  2 in 1

Module 4 : Full arch removable solutions, over-dentures, Complex Cases part 1, CAD CAM 

  • CAD/CAM for single and multiple crowns
  • Prescribing CAD/CAM restorations and workflow
  • Restoring multiple implant cases which are a combination anterior/posterior cases
  • Case Presentations
  • Discussing implants with your team
  • Occlusion in dental Implantology part 3


Module 5: Full arch fixed solutions, Complex Cases part 2, implant Maintenance. Working with Periodontists and Orthodontists to achieve optimal results

  • Complex and fixed full arch cases
  • Treating periodontally involved patients
  • Working with Orthodontics and implants
  • Bar Retained Overdentures
  • Bar design & prosthetic space requirements
  • CAD/CAM in removable prosthesis design
  • Long-term monitoring and maintenance procedures
  • Managing complications
