Robert Adams is a part-time Clinical Lecturer in Dental Implantology at the Cardiff University School of Dentistry.  In 2000 Robert undertook the MSc in Implant Dentistry at the Eastman Hospital.   

Robert’s work is limited to dental implantology and specialist oral surgery procedures in multi-specialist practices.  He is particularly interested in hard / soft tissue augmentation procedures for peri-implant aesthetics and grafting procedures. He has been a specialist clinical teacher at Guy’s Hospital, a Specialist Senior Dental Officer for Hammersmith and Fulham NHS Trust and a postgraduate examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

Dr Algraffee trained as a specialist periodontist at Guy’s Hospital, London and gained a Masters degree in Clinical Dentistry. His four year specialist training was completed by examination for Membership in Restorative Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons.

Dr Subir Banerji qualified with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from The University of Newcastle Upon Tyne Dental School, UK.

He completed an advanced course in Restorative Dentistry at The Eastman Dental Hospital, London and his Fellowship of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He gained his Masters in Clinical Dentistry (Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics) from the University of London.

In addition to his Private Practice in London he is the Programme Director for the MSc in Aesthetic Dentistry, a Senior Post Graduate Tutor on the Master’s in Clinical Dentistry (fixed and removable Prosthodontics) programme and a former Senior Undergraduate Clinical Teacher at the Department of Primary Dental Care at King’s College London Dental Institute. He lectures nationally and internationally and has several publications to his credit in peer reviewed International journals, and is a reviewer for the Oral Health and Preventive Dentistry publication by Quintessence. He is the author of chapter 3 on “Patient Examination and Assessment” for the book “Essentials in Esthetic Dentistry” Volume 1, published by Elsevier and released in December 2014, and the Editor in Chief for “Practical Procedure’s in Aesthetic Dentistry” to be published by Wiley. He is also the author of the academic units on Implants, Posterior Composites and Tooth Wear for the Master’s programmes at King’s College and is involved in research. He has conducted several Postgraduate and Master’s level courses in aesthetics, implants, composites, fixed and removable prosthodontics and occlusion in the UK, USA, Europe, Australia, Hong Kong and India. Stephen qualified from Birmingham University in 1985 and went into general dental practice. He started in implant dentistry in 1991 and since then has devoted hi career to the practice of implant dentistry, he is regarded as one of the foremost implant surgeons in the United Kingdom.

His training was carried out in the UK, USA and Europe and he now lectures extensively on all aspects of dental Implantology throughout the United States, Asia, Continental Europe and the UK.

Stephen runs his implant referral practice in Glasgow, UK, where all aspects of implant and reconstructive dentistry are carried out.

Stephen is a Key Opinion Leader and Ambassador for Dentsply Implants and Osstell. He carries out in practice research, currently working on 3 projects.

Stephen is a Past President of the Association of Dental Implantology UK (ADI) and a committee member and Fellow of the Academy of Osseointegration, and the UK Ambassador for AO. He is a founding Board member of PEERS UK, and is the Past Scientific Chairman of the ADI.

He is on the editorial board of three journals and runs a variety of courses at his practice, including a comprehensive year course for those willing to get started in the field of Implantology, sinus grafting and restorative programs.

Stephen currently mentors several dentists and is experienced with many implant systems.

Poonam graduated from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Dental Institute in 2006, where she was awarded the University of London gold medal for her performance across BDS finals. Following vocational training and two years in hospital based posts, she completed her specialist training in Restorative dentistry at the Eastman Dental Hospital in London. She also undertook an MSc in Conservative dentistry at UCL and was awarded a Fellowship in Dental Surgery with the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

Poonam is currently a Consultant in Restorative dentistry at Guy’s dental hospital and is on the GDC specialist lists for Restorative dentistry, Prosthodontics, Periodontics and Endodontics. She is the chairperson for the British Dental Association, Ealing, Acton and Chiswick branch, and is actively involved in postgraduate education, having previously lectured and set up study days for general dentists, postgraduate trainees and dental nurses.

Dr. Kaus was born and raised close to Hechingen, Hohenzollern in Southern Germany.

He is a graduate of the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen, Germany and became a dentist in 1990. He wrote his doctoral thesis (Dr.med.dent.) under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Willi Schulte, who developed the Tübingen implant system for immediate replacement of teeth in the 70ies. Prof. W. Schulte later became an Honorary Fellow of the Academy of Osseointegration in recognition of his outstanding contributions to implant dentistry.

Dr. Kaus later joined the Department of Prosthodontics and Implantology at the University of Tübingen. Dr. Kaus worked closely with Prof. Dr. Heiner Weber as “Oberarzt” (senior dentist) and headed the undergraduate programme at the University of Tübingen. At the Department of Prosthodontics and Implantology he treated patients, carrying out the surgical and restorative aspects of implant dentistry.

Dr Kavi is very experienced in placing and restoring many different cases of implants from single tooth to high aesthetic full arch cases daily.  Here at Crown Dental Group we have completed numerous full arch cases in the past year and over five hundred single unit implants.  He is very experienced with all major implant systems but is keen on using the Ankylos system.

Senior Clinical Lecturer and Honorary Consultant Oral Surgeon

Mike graduated from Glasgow University in 1990 and spent the next few years as a SHO in maxillofacial departments before completing FDS from the English College in 1994.  Then she took a job as a staff grade in maxillofacial surgery in Dunfermline for a few years before moving to Dundee in 1997 to work as a lecturer in Oral Surgery. She completed her PhD in 2002 and finished ACCOMS training in 2006 attaining FDSOSRCS. In 2007 she became a Senior Lecturer and Honorary Consultant in Oral Surgery.

Mike’s research interests include prognostic markers in oral cancer and potentially malignant lesions. Initially this was focused on regulation of the vasculature but also included lymphatic regulation and more recently the role of Human Papilloma Virus. Another area of interest is educational research particularly the development of teaching and assessment tools in oral surgery.

Since becoming a Senior Lecturer Mike’s main didactic teaching is in outreach with final year students teaching surgical skills under intravenous sedation. She delivers lectures to the third and fourth year students and organises the surgical dentistry course for the fourth year.

He is active in clinical research and surgical education in the UK and worldwide.  Gerry has designed and delivered numerous courses including "Advanced Endoscopic Sinus Surgery" (RCSEd).  He has been a member of the ENT SAB of the RCSEd and Chair of the Surgical Specality Group of the RCSEd.

Other positions held includ Lead Cancer Clinician  for WoScan, Head and Neck Cancer Network, Clinical Director for ENT Greater Glasgow and Clyde NHS and Team Leader for GMC Performance Procedures.

Gerry has authorised numerous chapters in key textbooks and continues to be active in clinical research.  He is Editor of the key reference text in Rhinology, Scott-Brown's Otorhinolarymgology 8th Ed.  In his spare time he climbs big mountains.

Dr Neil Millington has worked at Carisbrooke Dental Practice for fifteen years. He gained the MGDS from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1990. Neil spent a year in full time study at the Eastman Dental Hospital resulting in an MSc with distinction in prosthetic dentistry. He has attended a number of implant courses and lectures in the UK and abroad. Dr Millington established the RAF dental implant programme providing implant treatment for members of the armed forces and was also the Royal Air Force clinical advisor in prosthetic dentistry.

Farid Monibi is a specialist prosthodontist whose main interests are minimal intervention reconstructive and cosmetic dentistry, and dental implantology. David is the elected President of the Association of British Academic Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Regional Faculty Advisor and SAC member in Oral Surgery and a visiting Professor in Trondheim Norway.  His research group works in the development of novel nano-medicines to treat chronic infection and inflammation.

Professor Thomas took his PhD at Bristol University, where he was the Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Fellow.

She has decided to brave it again and returned to Bath Spa Dentistry in September 2013. During her absence she has worked with some specialist periodontists and has learned greater skills in gum disease management; and also in a practice that cares for nervous/anxious patients.

Nicki is a member of The British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapy British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapy, and also the Gloucester Independent Dentists Hygienists group, attending regular meetings and seminars to keep up to date with the latest knowledge and techniques. 

Giving you quality dental healthcare with a friendly, non judgemental approach is important to Nicki. She is passionate about helping you to maintain a lifelong healthy set of teeth & gums and for you to understand the relationship of your mouth health with your general health.

Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Implantology

Julian Yates qualified from the University of Glasgow in 1996 and is now a Professor in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Implantology at the University of Manchester where he is a clinical teacher in all aspects of Oral Surgery including Inplant Dentistry. He has extensive experience in all aspects of implantology ranging from single tooth replacement to whole mouth rehabilitation. Furthermore, he has a specialist interest in managing patients with hard and soft tissue deficiencies including soft and hard tissue reconstuction, bone augmentation, bone grafting, zygomatic implants and All-on-4 techniques.

Julian has been placing and restoring dental implants since 2000 and In Manchester he works within a multidisciplinary team and has significant experience in managing some of the most complex cases involving dental implants.

Jonathan Ziff has been placing implants for more than fifteen years and delivering implant training for nearly a decade. He runs a number of implant courses and lectures regularly on implant related subjects. He has a particular interest in complex rehabilitative cases requiring a combined surgical, periodontal and restorative approach. Jonathan is in full-time implant practice at his two referral centres in Leicestershire. He qualified from Leeds University in 1987 and has placed and restored thousands of dental implants using leading implant systems. Dr Ziff is a mentor for the ANKYLOS system and offers surgical and restorative care for referred patients.  Further details
